A long haired cat should be groomed daily, this will help to keep the cats coat tangle free.Firstly use a soft brush to groom the cats coat ,working from the cats head to his tail. Brush its belly and tail, and then use a wide toothed comb and gently comb through the cats hair.If you find any matted or knotted hair, very gently ease the knot out with a comb or brush.If you hold the knot in the hand,and brush with the other, this will prevent any pain whilst pulling the cats fur.You should clean you cats eyes weekly,or if possible daily.If your cat starts giving you signs that she has had enough, groom the sides of its face,and give your cat the occasional treat.Below are a few videos,showing some grooming techniques.
