Ear mites in cats are very common,sometimes your cat may not show any signs of discomfort,but when they do it can be very painful for them. As the ears of the cat becomes so itchy the cat may scratch it self badly on the outer parts of the ear. Your cat may hold its ear down flat,and vigorously shake his head this is common. If your cat does have ear mites there will probably be thousands of them along the surface of the ear canal. The mites stay on the surface of the skin.They spread very easily,so if you have other animals in your household you must treat them as well.It is advisable to take your cat to the vets for treatment.
